I’m distinct that anyone spending the time reading reviews of this Honeymooners Box Site, doesn’t need any reassurance as to the explain itself. What more needs to be said about Ralph and the gang? I gawk that others are complaining that the shows are not chronologically placed on the discs, but grouped thematically. While that would be a petite annoying to me as well, such is NOT the case with the status I purchased…all are in the order that they were originally aired with the airdates given. Another complaint that I’ve seen posted is in regards to the quality of the transfers themselves. Once again, I can’t imagine that these reviewers are seeing the same Box Situation as I am. I am a rather picky viewer and try to end informed…I’ve never seen the explain notice or sound better. Splendid Dusky and White. (I will attest to the fact that the episode “TV or Not TV” does not peruse or sound as capable as the rest, probably inherant in the source material…not a biggie though) . As far as extras…not mighty here. The Anniversary special included here is a shortened version and isn’t all that informative or even distinguished for that matter. Yes, it would have been nice to have more extras…interviews, commentary, bio’s, etc…, but for the trace of this status, you are getting the gold, which is the expose itself. I judge CBS/Paramount realized that people are becoming wary of tremendous, expensive box sets, and aren’t purchasing them. Case in point…Fox went all out in their release of Mary Tyler Moore Season One. Substantial packaging, loaded with extras, tremendous transfers. Now they are claiming that it didn’t sell enough to warrant their releasing of any further seasons. So fans are left hanging with a substantial Box Position of Season One…with no more to near. Ridiculous! ( Fans of that explain have started a petition…if eager go to mtmshow.com) ******All in all, since the Honeymooners only had one season filmed, it could have been released with more extras, but with a reveal of this caliber it certainly stands on it’s enjoy merit. For under $40, to have the complete Honeymooners crisp on obvious on DVD…how can you complain?

Having been born 24 years after the initial showing of the Honeymooners, I might not be the target audience that came to mind when this DVD collection was assembled. Droll is comical, however, and these “Classic 39″ episodes of the Honeymooners are the funniest half hours ever shown on television and the greatest area comedy of all time.

You unprejudiced don’t ogle shows like this now. Nothing is this well acted or this well written. And nothing is objective this comic. This is a husband and wife struggling to earn by and they search for like it, too. This “Friends” where the cast lives like millionaires. This isn’t “Fraiser” where they work in some high-profile industry. Ralph drives a bus and Norton works in the sewer (an “underground engineer.”) The Kramdens and Norton are accurate people and actual neighbors.

What made the reveal work so well was the actors. Jackie Gleason owns the material. He doesn’t even have to say a word to provide a hilarious moment. Impartial contemplate him stew, his face contort while listening to his mother-in-law objective prior to his well-known blabbermouth rant.

Art Carney’s Norton should have his fill statue in Washington DC. A terrific actor playing the allotment perfectly. Like Meadows, Carney has an uncanny chemistry with Gleason. You really can feel the history between the two characters, as if they’ve been best friends for long enough to be stop friends and long enough to gain on each others nerves all the time.

Likewise, you glean the same feeling between Ralph and Alice as well as Norton and Trixie, who — played by Joyce Randolph — is the perfect match for screwball Norton.

Like the other reviewer, I’ve seen this comely microscopic movie dozens of times, and never accept tired of it. Angela Lansbury and Paige O’Hara are fair as charming as in the novel, and Bernadette Peters’ Angelique will melt your heart. Her song, “As Long As There’s Christmas,” unprejudiced might set aside a score in your throat. The animation – especially the rank Forte – is eye-popping, unbiased as you would query from Disney. I would recommend this movie for all Disney-cartoon fans, as well as those who want a collection of cheery, heart-warming Christmas videos/DVDs. Rep it … You won’t be disappointed. (FYI: Disney released a CD soundtrack that is unprejudiced as noteworthy fun as the movie!)

The account is heart-warming, and as someone who has grown up with the modern movie (and it has to be my accepted Disney film), it was like seeing dear conventional friends again.

I ordered this movie tedious enough that it should have arrived AFTER Christmas but with the Fleet shipping (I paid for standard shipping!) the movie arrived in time for Santa to yelp it to my youngest daughter! She LOVES the movie and the shrimp My Petite Pony figure that came with the movie!

I placed my order on 2/27 and as of 3/30, have not received the merchandise. I have also sent numerous e-mails to the seller, all going unreplied. I would NOT recommend this seller to anyone. Very dishonest!!!

The Amazon.com review accurately conveys the zest that The Wiggles and their elvish dancers bring to 19 musical numbers. The actual dancing by the pint-sized kids surrounding the band is particularly impressive. Our two young daughters try to yell and dance like the kids on camouflage. Six of the songs are archaic carols, and the rest are ‘new’ songs that all have catchy melodies. The Wiggles appear before seemingly flimsy cardboard sets, and the production is not slick; nevertheless, the lustrous sets lend a simple charm to the inconvenience, considerable like a school Christmas pageant. The pacing is excellent — several dead songs (like ‘Away in the Manger’ and ‘Silent Night’) space up the impact of speedy numbers that follow. Since the first season was shorter, this first disc has many extras. First, all of the shorts from the Tracy Ullman indicate will be there. Also, there will be a “lost” episode included.

Fox must be commended in releasing these discs. When they were preparing to release the discs, they went to the fans, and asked how we would like them released. As season packs? How many extras? How often? Rarely does a publisher care that worthy.

On November 21st, 2006, 20th Century Fox released Home Alone – Family Fun Edition. This DVD edition is the long awaited special edition to one of cinemas most adored Christmas films. This edition offers a hefty amount of extra goodies…such as over 30 minutes of deleted scenes, on the region featurettes, current interviews, and a tag novel commentary track featuring director Chris Columbus & Macaulay Culkin. I have to say unlike most commentary tracks, this one is actully very informative and very fun. Macaulay and Chris seem to have so great fun watching the film. This edition like the first one is presented in its unusual theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. I read somewhere that the video and audio is updated too, I cannot confirm if it is or not but I read that. If you bear the previous edition of this film, it is definately worth your money to update to this. The special features alone warrant a double dip. Also for the own outs not wanting to choose the film til it got a special edition, well here it is. I would recommend this edition to anyone wanting to believe this classic film on DVD.

Finally Fox studios came to their senses to re-release a childhood classic. Now this re-release does have a substanial amount of bonus features including 4 slack the scenes feature, deleted scenes, 3 trailers, and some trivia games but the icing on the cake is the Christopher Columbus and Macaulay Culkin Commentary. Its well-behaved to know that Macaulay Culkin being the highest paid child star befriend then in the early 90′s and level-headed to this date, he is humble enough to go wait on to his childhood memories. Deff worth the upgrade if you occupy the previous release..a moral classic…

As a media buff, the included classic trailers are a amazing prelude to the main feature–I like to imagine that I’m getting the same experience as the audiences who first viewed Laurel and Hardy some seventy years ago. And, in keeping with this package’s holiday theme, the exciting Rudolph the Reindeer movie is thoughtfully included, ensuring that you and your family procure the most value out of a single disc.

For any family or fan of holiday cinema, this package is definitely a must-buy.

I very distinguished seize this film in color than in dusky and white, and I have watched both the Goodtimes colourized version and this Account version. For me it comes down to this:

The Goodtimes has the best saturation, better overall colour, and better dissimilarity without exposing the print too worthy to bleach out details. It is also a cleaner print. However, it is not exactly in focus (or seems to be a tiny in “double-focus”), and the beginning is the “March of the Wooden Soldiers” credits instead of the novel “Babes in Toyland”. I found that I did acquire mature to the uncommon focus, but it took a while.

The Chronicle version is very tantalizing and sure, has most of the novel titles with their snippet of animation leading into “Babes in Toyland” (*) . But, it is a washed-out print with highlights burned out, and overall has a greenish-cast, which is awful. (Maybe you can adjust for this on your DVD monitor.) The menus have loud, dumb, disturbing music–a characteristic that I always abhor and detest (pure silence is best) .

(* The first fresh title is an approval certificate. Epic replaces this with a title-card that has their have name. No loss folks, really.)

The Chronicle black-and-white version does appear to be simply the colourized print with the colour turned off. It, too, is a bit washed out, and has a LOT of nicks and scratches that are not on other prints. The unusual release of this movie by MGM proves that this film is composed in pristine condition; it has suitable, attractive sound as well. It also has all the new main titles COMPLETELY intact and restored. This Sage release cannot possibly be from the unusual negative, and it is NOT “spectacularly restored”. Once again, we have been lied to.

Ahh, the glory that is Watase Yuu… All hail her..

This is Watase at her best, and Studio Peirrot brings her account substantial honor (especially since they successfully condensed a 14 volume manga into a 26 episode tv series) . The animation style is remarkable like that of Fushigi Yuugi (if you’re familiar with that series, you know what I mean), based on the fact that the bishounen (magnificent “blooming” boys) of the series gawk remarkably like those of FY. But in Ayashi no Ceres (Celestial Sage to us) the animation “quality” is noteworthy nicer and more outstanding. The storyline is more customary, violent, and graphic than that of FY, and the overall mood is powerful darker. An extremely compelling series!

If you’re familiar of the legend of the tennou (nymph) bolt to earth because of her stolen hagoromo (robe), then Ayashi no Ceres is honest up your alley because that is what it is based on. If you do not know the anecdote, it is a very noted chronicle told in Asia and around the world about a nymph who’s robe was stolen by a man. The loss of this robe meant that she could not return to heaven. She marries the very man who had stolen her robe, and bears him children, although eventually (according to Ayashi no Ceres’ version) she returns to heaven declaring that every generation she will return to examine her revenge on the one who had taken her robe. In Ayashi no Ceres, the chosen one of the explain generation is Aya, the main character.

Aya and Aki notion they both had a normal life but that all changed after Aya went with her friends to earn her fortune told. A prophecy of darkness and power that comes when the 16th star and mood arrive together. When getting home, their parents preserve a icy attitude telling them that they had to go to their grandfather’s house the next day (their birthday) . This is a fairly original anime (2000) with really nice animation. The animation is basically those of Fushigi Yuugi but with finer lines etc. The Japanese jabber actors are mostly novel deliver actors. Watase Yu opinion it would be a grand conception because she belief it would be better not to go, “Oh, he’s so and so from so and so anime!”

The opening song is really nice, it’s called Scarlet and is performed by Iwao Junko, the narrate actress of Ceres. It’s a wearisome, mild song. The ending song is called ONE and features a rock beat. The DVDs are said to feature report galleries, intereviews and such so stare out for worthy extras along with them.

Final Note: DVDs are awesome, and with all these fresh animes on DVDs, I cannot wait to witness the visual quality. This is an fantastic series. Inquire more twists and turns as can be expected from the stories that Watase Yu makes. Fushigi Yuugi fans will not be disappointed.

This DVD is quite refreshing. Not only does it have the 1980 classic A Chipmunk Christmas, but it has two Christmas episodes from the Chipmunk series, doing their versions of a Christmas Carol and It’s A Incredible Life in their occupy cute method. A spacious addition to any Christmas collection.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is I’m a cramped disappointed there were no special features on this DVD. Alvin has been a ample addition to Christmas ever since the release of that classic song “The Chipmunk Song” (1958) . Some things on that could have been added. But I’m smooth joyful to have Alvin and the Chipmunks as share of my Christmas.

I am a mountainous Red Green fan. I found Red Green on the PBS channel in Des Moines, IA about three years ago. Since the first time that I’ve seen the prove, I was a fan from then on. Red Green is “Home Improvement” but going all the scheme to the apt field. The Christmas shows unprejudiced bring out the best of the cast & crew for one the biggest holidays. So, for anyone who is a dire hard Red Green fan, I recomend this DVD for you.

I usually avoid my fave shows’ “specials” like the plague. They never live up to expectations, they are obviously rushed into production to produce a buck, etc.

I took a chance on Red Green Christmas last year, and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s very laughable, well written, and fair as kindly as the shows themselves. Wait until you inspect how Red takes holiday dinner to the relatives…
